About Us.
Somerville Music Spaces was created by husband and wife team, Mike and Jess Tybursky. Mike is a trombonist and Jess is an opera singer. The goal was to help solve the issue of limited space for the arts in Boston. Musicians deserve a secure, comfortable, and affordable place to practice, teach, collaborate, record, and showcase their talents. The spaces are designed to be perfect for acoustic, non-amplified instruments and groups, including vocals, piano, guitar, strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion.
Are you searching for a space to run your private studio or classes? Look no further! Need new high-quality recordings for your next application or audition? We’ve got you covered! Looking for a beautiful, intimate recital venue to display your hard work and welcome your guests? You found the spot!
Our private and comfortable studios are professionally designed with high-quality instruments. Our facilities are equipped with central heating and air conditioning for your comfort and include a waiting area with free coffee and filtered water bottle filler, as well as three gender-neutral individual restrooms (including one handicap-accessible restroom).
Step outside for a break in the beautiful gardens of the CALA building or in the adjacent public Lou Ann David Park.
Whatever you choose to use the space for, we’re here for you. Let’s make amazing art and share it with one another and our communities.
