Event/Audition Packages and Add ons
Below are our standard Event and Audition Packages, available add-ons, as well as a la carte prices for events. Please be in touch with us via E-mail if you have questions about these packages or would like a custom quote.
STANDARD EVENT PACKAGE
$400 2 hour rehearsal PLUS 3 hour Performance Room Concert/Event (Inclusive of all set-up and break-down time). This rate includes: On-site manager for duration of 3 hour event to assist with unlocking/locking space, set-up and break-down, lighting). 2 hour rehearsal in the Performance Room (to be scheduled separately), use of Steinway B grand piano, private green room, publicity on Somerville Music Spaces website, socials, and our in-space bulletin board.
Please note SMS employees will not assist with your box office and/or ticketing unless you choose the Box Office add-on.
10% Discount available for 501 (c)(3) Non-Profit Organizations
A LA CARTE EVENT PRICING/ADD-ONS
$80/hr Performance Room hourly rate
$20 Use of adjacent Control Room or practice room as green room for duration of event
$20/person/hr On-site Somerville Music Spaces personnel to assist with access to facilities, set-up, break-down, lighting needs. Per person/per hour. Please note SMS employees will not assist with your box office and/or ticketing unless you choose the Box Office add-on.
$20 Publicity fee. Extra charge to have Somerville Music Spaces publicize your event.
Box-Office Add-OnIf you would like Somerville Music Spaces to handle ticketing and ticket sales for your event, we will take 10% of gross ticket sales.
AUDITION BLOCKS
$800 8 hour Audition block (inclusive of set-up and break-down). Includes Performance Room, control room, Rehearsal Room, Practice Room 1 and Practice Room 2.
$1250 8 hour Audition block (inclusive of set-up and break-down). Includes exclusive access to entire facility.

PLEASE NOTE: Effective 10/8/2024, ALL Performance Room Events requiring on-site personnel, Audition Blocks, and bookings greater than or equal to 3 hours will be subject to a 20% non-refundable deposit at time of booking.
ADD-ONS
$175 Steinway B Piano Tuning. Must be requested 2 weeks in advance.
$80/hr Performance Room additional hourly room rate
Use of covered plaza in addition to Performance Space. Subject to availability. 2 weeks notice required. No fee, but will be subject to a special cleaning fee of $75 if trash/spills are left behind.
$60 Single-Camera Livestream or Recording (Includes unedited downloadable file).
$100 Dual-Camera Livestream or Recording (Includes unedited downloadable file).
Renters are responsible for all ticketing and box office. Somerville Music Spaces will include ticketing information with event publicity.
Renters may serve food and/or non-alcoholic beverages, but must leave the space in the same state of cleanliness as they found it. This includes removing all trash that does not fit in provided trash barrels, ie: catering platters, pizza boxes, etc. Somerville Music Spaces reserves the right to assess a cleaning fee up to $75 for excessive trash or messes left behind.
Renters interested in offering BYOB events or serving alcohol to guests as part of a private, un-ticketed event must obtain and provide proof of event insurance and list Somerville Music Spaces as additionally insured. Theeventhelper.com is a good resource for this type of insurance.
Renters interested in serving alcohol to guests as part of a public, ticketed event must additionally obtain and provide proof of a one-day special alcohol license from the City of Somerville. This must be applied for 4-6 weeks in advance. Alternatively, you can hire a 12C caterer.

Cost of event insurance, 12C caterer and/or special alcohol license is sole responsibility of Renter.
