Alexander Crosett plays American classical piano music influenced by jazz, blues, folk, musical theater, samba, tango, techno and other contemporary styles. Works by Betty Jackson King, Dana Suesse, Fred Hersch, Gabriela Lena Frank, Karen Tanaka, Mary Ellen Childs and Samuel Barber. Made possible in part by the American Music Project.
Alexander Crosett has performed throughout the United States and in Canada, Europe and Asia. A top prize winner in the Osaka International Music Competition, he has been recognized for his work across multiple musical genres. His album project American Excursions, due to be released in March 2024 on Centaur Records, features polystylistic contemporary classical piano repertoire by composers of diverse backgrounds. He has served as a professor at Boston Conservatory at Berklee since 2018.
